Breathe to awaken
Breathe to feel
Breathe to know YOU
Breathe to heal

Are you struggling with life?

The idea that if we bury emotions they ‘go away’ is a myth. They don’t. Banished emotions become stored in our bodies, deep in our hearts, hidden in the shadows, guarded with armour and a burden on the soul.

Ultimately our bodies do not forget, and it is the disowned parts of us, longing to be processed that find other ways to be felt. Repressed trauma, experiences and emotions reveal themselves in unfavourable ways - chronic illness, burnout, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, relationship difficulties, shyness, lack of self-esteem, lack of confidence, social phobia, addiction, self-harm, not knowing who you are, suicidal ideation, loneliness, abuse, never feeling like you belong or fit in.

For me personally, Breathwork changed my life and led me on the most profound healing pathway.

I was a very depressed teenager, full of shame, hurt and anger, and fighting to understand the meaning of life. Back in the 80s this was not something that was spoken openly about, and I spent much of my time feeling alone, masking, and full of rage. It was through my spiritual journey, deep personal inquiry, writing and research that I connected with my own embodied trauma, pre-menstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), and more recently, to ADHD.

Breathwork took me beyond the limited beliefs I had about myself and elevated me to a place of unbounded trust and surrender. I felt hope in every cell of my body and knew with undeniable certainty that this had come into my life as a gift; the switch was turned on and the light never dimmed.

My path led me to offer this life changing practice to others.

My intention is to support you to understand your thoughts, feelings, and life experiences as valid responses to your previous and current experience, so that you can feel empowered and begin to heal.

Breathe in (receive). Life force, chi, prana, spirit, harmony.
Breathe out (release). Dissolve fear, shed shame, trust.

What is Breathwork?

Most of us don’t breathe fully, we hold back our breath and have been doing so most of our lives. When we are feeling discomfort, our breath changes - it either slows down, speeds up or even momentarily stops, rather than allow us to process and feel our emotions.

The e-motion (energy in motion) gets trapped in the body which leads to further pain, discomfort, fear, and armouring. Many of us have blocked off the energy flow at our throats, learned to stuff down our feelings, believing that it is not always safe to speak the truth, opting for silence over self-expression at a detriment to our physical and emotional wellbeing.

Breathwork is a gentle yet powerful process of healing and transformation that takes you to a deeper state of consciousness where your life story resides. It deeply supports the clearing away of old energies, patterns, conditioning, negative thoughts, and emotions and opens the doors wide for new life and greater consciousness.

When we start to breathe fully and consciously, we are easily able to release what we have been holding and open to an incredible expansion of consciousness, including greater forgiveness and self-love. This inner change brings about shifts in our outer lives.

Imagine how much lighter this might feel, how much energy and aliveness there could be space for.

Imagine the freedom to make new choices and align yourself with the life you want.

You will experience expanded awareness physically, emotionally, psychologically, and spiritually and you will begin to take control of your life, improve your sense of self and your health.

What is Conscious Connected Breathwork?

The approach we are going to be using is Conscious Connected Breathing – This way of breathing comes from the original Rebirthing tradition taught by Leonard Orr but there are now many Breathwork schools around the world which use the same process, each with their own particular approach.

Conscious Connected Breathing is the bridge between the conscious and the unconscious, where you can choose to purposefully meet and embrace previously unresolved issues, dissolve trapped emotions and heal whatever is getting in the way of your potential, your wellness, and your peace. It combines counselling and insight as well as a somatic experiential process where you find a deep level of awareness, release emotional baggage, unconsciously held beliefs (personal lies), and actually feel the patterns shifting and transforming at a deep cellular level.

As we fully connect with our breath, we begin to trust and attune to the messages within our body. We develop a capacity and courage to face and own our sadness, anger, fear, and shame and fully connect to life.

Hayley suggested that I attend one of her Breathwork sessions and this has been a magical and embodying experience for me. Whilst I felt anxious about trying it I have left each session calm and with a sense of peace and connection. It’s a unique experience, but for me it has helped me connect to and begin to process some difficult buried feelings and I have started to reassess some of those deep-seated fears, I feel stronger and less anxious as a result. Hayley is so authentic, kind, and supportive, I feel calm and accepted in her presence, she is a wonderful person!
